What's the best way to solder the tinsel leads onto the terminals with these new recones that have the leads coming out of the spiders. There are 4 lead wires for each positive and each negative. I think its obvious I won't be able to fit them through the ring on the terminal, so how should they be soldered? Should some slack be left?

Just solder the to the top of the ring terminal. Stack them ontop of eachother put your soldering iron tip on them and add solder.

The best way is to solder two lead wires together before you attach the recone to the basket. Then solder the presoldered lead wire to the terminal solder connection after the recone is attached to the basket.

4 leads for each pos and neg ??

why does my 2 btls only have 2 leads for each pos and neg :( ???

No..they have 4, you just can't see the layers.

ah ok :dancing:

There is a "special" way to make it easier.

I will be doing a recone kit in the next few weeks, maybe I'll take a moment and take a video along with some pictures.

But I think their should be a video for Fi's Youtube explaining/showing how to do it properly.

That would be cool if you could do that bc most of the vids were of the actual cleaning and gluing process but not soldering.
