Posted November 16, 201113 yr Not really been on forums much, just wondering if I needed a recone for my Q18 will the new q recones fit/work..??? If I ever do need to recone it will I be able to get the SAME coil that's in it now..?? I think I remember hearing the newer q's are a bit different
November 21, 201113 yr It will work. The new recones are better with the way the tinsel leads are fed in between the spiders. I think they give you the option of flatwound or copper with the Qs

December 1, 201113 yr Don't do it. The coil will be offset in the wrong direction. You need to click the old Q recone.If you go to buy parts for a 350 chevy 1974 model...you need to order the 1974 model. Yes the 1993 model is still a 350 chevy..but the differences are vast.
December 2, 201113 yr It seems to be working fine in my old Q. And what is "clicking old Q recone". There isn't such an option, unless its just the bp?
