November 13, 201212 yr Author Some do and some don't. We use 12volt fans under the flush panel to help with ventilation issues, typically works just fine like that.
November 13, 201212 yr Sounds great. Maybe i can look into doing all this When you get time post some more pics of projects and builds. I'd love to see more!
November 21, 201212 yr Hey what brand and type of paint do you use? It looks really good. I'm looking to do red and black for my box but they just dont look so shiny as that. thanks!
November 21, 201212 yr Author The paint is more about the prep work then anything. Just like a car, if you don't take the time for proper prep work it won't come out like you want.
November 21, 201212 yr Author If you are painting the entire enclosure(which we only do with fiberglass), you will need to sand everything 100% smooth. Then putty in all seems to hide them from being visible once painted. Then you will need to take typical painting steps to ensure you get the results you are looking for.
December 14, 201212 yr Author We have been busy as of late so of course not much for building/assembly photos..but here are few that should be leaving out tomorrow.
March 26, 201312 yr Author Here are a few local builds and such... we get a lot of requests for basic trim/beauty panels. I would assume it is do to the low cost for them. These first few are Deji Karim's Avalanche we did a few weeks back.... this will be seeing some changes soon though..... DD's are being removed and adding a few more "custom" touches to it. August 4, 201312 yr Author Didn't get much done today on the custom side of things... Just this is a clients '04 Monte Carlo SS Started with this....(sorry only before pic) and ended with this.... Wrapped the headliner, sun visors, and the bottom of the overhead console. Then color matched the dome light, switch panel and all other light colored hardware.
August 6, 201312 yr Author Started getting "DJ's" trim worked out... His box design, we are just working on making it look better... lol Will get more pics of this build as we get more progress done.
August 6, 201312 yr Curious about the two ports, is this more for space saving or is there any sonic advantage
August 6, 201312 yr Curious about the two ports, is this more for space saving or is there any sonic advantageMore port area.
August 6, 201312 yr Author Curious about the two ports, is this more for space saving or is there any sonic advantage While a single port would be more efficient (single larger port), there is not always allowable room for that. In this case, space was limited for mounting as well as actual volume. So using the 2 6" ports netted the best overall response given the restrictions for that application.
August 6, 201312 yr Author Curious about the two ports, is this more for space saving or is there any sonic advantageMore port area. This is also correct.
August 6, 201312 yr My old enclosure only had 70 square inches of port and roughly 4.5 cubes net, going with the two aeros i was able to change my deminsions slightly and gain 2 cubes net.
August 18, 201312 yr Author Got the plexi done for the cadilac on Friday.... Also built a Monte Carlo in just under a couple days from for a buddy of ours... Here is the car sitting at his apartment...
