Posted March 2, 200619 yr Ok since everyone has their own songs they listen to and listen for certain things, why don't we all contribute so i can have a collection of good test cds. What i can think of so far from watching you guys is...Nina Simone - Feelin Good -but you all have a different versionEagles - Hotel California -this was for the kicks at the beginning of the song, right?Dire Straits - Money for Nothin' -for the switching between channels at the very beginning of the songNow i need more, and need to know what to listen for. I need something with quick bass that isn't heavy metal, is that so much to ask for? How about a song with good lows that isn't rap? Some songs that i prefer to listen to, because I listen to them so much, i know the song better, can tell when i hear new things, some are borderline rap, so shut itDMB - GravediggerSantana - Black Magic WomanZeppelin - Stairway to heavenThe RZA - Fatal -its corny, but the horns or whatever at the first of the song are lovelyChris Isaak - Baby Did a Bad Bad ThingCowboy Bebop (the cartoon) - clutchSantana - Put your lights on (this has the everlast guy, but typical santana guitar)i also might add i've been listening to my cowboy bepop stuff and most if it seems extremely musical, but i'm listening on my laptop speakers

March 4, 200619 yr ****Epcot (Tapestry of Dreams) - "Reflections of Earth" - Yes, four asterisks because its that good. This is a Disney cd and is the soundtrack to the fireworks show at the Epcot theme park, recorded by the London Philharmonic and not to be taken lightly. Bottom line, this is the MOST DYNAMIC thing I've ever experienced. In fact, this is the song I use to burn in my system before every show I've ever done in MECA. The entire song is over 9 minutes long and has soft passages that are very detailed as well...but it's the beginning few minutes that will cause your system to go or blow, and I mean that literally. To give you an example, I can cause my midbass grills to levitate and float an inch off the floor by using this track. I had Mark Eldridge purchase this CD and everyone liked it so much it was eventually stolen. Trust me guys, call Disney World and order this album, you won't be disappointed; in fact, its so good, I bought two of them just so I'd have a spare, how's that for anal?I can't find this track *anywhere* at a higher bitrate than 128 :(...and of course, he doesn't say how to get it other than "call up Disney"
