Working after work is freaking exhausting.Anyway, small update with my new shifter ball.Old and ugly, that screw right through it ..ugh.Fixed a bit the metal threading.5cm diameter, love the feel it has. I'll have to water sand it with the finest grit I have and polish it with wax.The metal rod was rusty, but nor was my battery enough neither you need a pic to image it. Spend some time with the water sand paper and it's like new.Next to the gear project - grooved gears. Like this > Lambo gears

Hopefully I'll have at least one fitted this weekend.Dude that's awesome wish i had the room for something like that in my doors.I think no matter the car I would have gutted the whole panel and fit it with some wicked shapes.

March 24, 201312 yr Author It has been a while. The most major change I've done recently is wrapping my steering wheel with genuine(or real or whatever) leather. Then hand stitch it with white thread to match the car and other parts of the interior I am about to change. Test piece Before What happens when your hands are slightly wet Making holes, no thread in the needle First piece done Making a pattern for the more complex shapes Connection stitch with black thread. It will be will be touched more, and if it was white, after a while it was bound to get dirty.
March 24, 201312 yr Author Overall I am very please with the result. It took me around 20-24 hours of hand work, measuring, cutting, using the sewing machine, making patterns, failures, stitching. Used : white and black polyester thread, real leather from some dead animal, scissors, shaving blade, 3 needles, glue.*optional : patience, good taste, the internet
March 30, 201312 yr Author Update on the doors Cut them up to save some space in the front by doing some relocations. Glued back on Fiberglassed the original panel to the ported enclosures Covered some parts of the wood and fiberglass with foam for a softer feel when I cover them up. I'll start sewing the fabric soon and then wrap. Should also invest some time into a grill made out of plexy, lit with SMD lights.
