I have a Directed 1500d running 1 ohm @ 1100 watts on my single rlp 15" sealed. The amp is kinda ugly and I have an Orion 8004 running my front stage. I would like to buy another Orion to run my sub. I can grab a Orion 1200d what do you guys think?

would I? humm originally put a 2500D on it.......

@4ohms of course (1200+ watts)

My TC9+ prototype laughed at me with 1.2kW...

Although nowhere near that amount of power was actually needed to get serious wangage.

i'm running 1.2kw to my 12" rl-p right now...no issues what so ever. off an orion 2500d...

1.2kw on the 15 sealed would equal sweetness!!

on one ported would equal deafness..lol

This is what I run. Well, what I'm capable of running... I nearly always feed her less than 1200W sustained. She takes it like a champ when I do, though... I just can't sit in the car at the same time. ;)

why do people run so much power, when x amt of watts makes the speaker run at full potential?

Because they need something to measure their e-penii by.

Duh.

then i have a fairly large e-penii...i mean with 4kw on tap in my truck and 2.5kw on tap in the TB...that should mean at least an above average e-penii, correct?

but then again, i run 2.5 (actually wired to the 1.2kw)kw in the TB simply because i was playing with the rl-s at the time i installed the stuff. in time the orion will be replaced with the hifonics nemesis nx750d that was originally bought for the rl-p. so the rl-p will then be getting 750 daily. is that better? lol......

so maybe it's just a matter of what's lying around, or previous install or just the inane want to get silly loud while sounding really,really good.

Hahaaha I win! I just bought two Orion 2500D's. Maybe 5K if I can keep the voltage up for any length of time.

And next month I'll be getting the set of 4 RL-P 15 D4 to go with them.

The though of all that working together makes me giggle like a little girl!
