My box turned out to be a tad bigger then i wanted it too. But it's right around 6.92 cubes after sub displacement. It will be mainly for street beat/bass race/daily. Amp is an IA 40.1 @ .7ohm. My question is how many 6" aero's should i use? I have 3 total but was wondering if 3 6's would be too much..

Personally I think 6 6" aeros will be too many.

With that kind of a volume where are you going to put 6 ports that will end up being ~56.5" long to get you to a 33Hz tuning

Stick with 3 (~26.6" long for 33Hz) or maybe 4 (~36.6" long each for ~33Hz) and you should be fine.

3x 6" ports puts you at ~12"^2 of port area.

4x 6" ports puts you at ~16.5"^2 of port area.

*port lengths calculated based on 7ft^3 using http://www.psp-inc.com/tools.html

Hope that helps.

I think he has 3 and is asking if 3 is too much. I do agree with you though, I would use four+ if you have the room to fit the port length.

Is your electrical system capable of running that amp?

My bad, it was like 2am and i read it wrong.

3 would be ok, 4 would be best i think.

YES. I went ahead and did the (3) 6" aero's, but left room for a fourth if need be, but with the 3 it definitely gets down! Full tilt i'm dropping to 13.2v reving to 2k and 12.6 @ idle so my electrical is handling it quite well.

My calculations had me being tuned around 40hz, how ever i'm peeking at around 37hz so back to the drawing board.

Careful playing under tuning, is your ssf set properly?
