Im in the process of picking out my sub and box combination, I was thinking of either waiting on a 10" Dcon or going with a Gcon. The amp that I have is a Soundstream 405s, these are the dimensions that I'm working with 30x12x15 any suggestions would be great.

The Dcon would work best with the power you have available.

Because of your slightly under powering the sub, build the box to ~1.5 cubic feet ported @ 32 hz.

If you have any intentions of upgrading in the future, as far as power is concerned, I would suggest the Gcon. But the Dcon is a monster sub in its own right as well. What sub will have more output with that much power, I'm not sure.

anyone have any idea how underrated that amp is? If I go with the dcon i was going to go ported, or sealed if I choose the gcon. I really have no intention of upgrading my up but you never know...

240 watts is plenty for a Gcon. I have a US Acoustics little 2 channel with the same power ratting. ;)

looks like ill be going with the Gcon, now should I go ported or sealed with the power I have on tap? I do have some extra space for a slightly bigger box, or should I move up to a 12" and go sealed?

If you have a little more space, port the 10". :)
