Yo guyz I have a budget of about 200$ I need a good head unit with high and low pass crossovers for running active. Ive been checking out the ken wood kdc-x996. It's just a hair out of my budget but seems nice. Any other good units like this?

2 way active sir. And I would like it to have a warranty so. That's kinda making me wanna buy new

I have never used a kenwood headunit in any of my vehicles. I do know people that do though and have not heard one bad thing about them. I will highly recommend the PRS80 to you. I have owned the previous PRS model and it was exceptional.

I'll look around for one. Do you know of anyone selling one? I've heard they are amazing

Yea I think the lenwood x996 will be the right fit. Now if I can get rid of my other one lol

The Kenwood is a nice unit. We sell tons of Kenwood excelon, with very very little problems. It has taken over Alpine as our best selling brand of radios, but Alpine hasn't been doing anything right lately it seems.

No experience with the Pioneer unit however. It looks like a really nice unit however.

Either way I am sure you'll have good results.

Not to thread jack, but no need to start another thread.

Is the Kenwood KIV-701 active capable?

Thanks

I'd personally way rather have a real awesome used headunit than a new with warranty

ThAnks I thought so too! Man it made a huge difference in my depth and staging!

Those are nice units. I may snatch one up next time I see one available.
