Posted May 22, 201213 yr What do you guys use to crimp the larger power and ground wires. I don't have a need for the crimper that big much but got by with using the vise. Any other methods?
May 22, 201213 yr If you're not looking to spend the money on a hydraulic crimper (and I don't blame you considering the cost for a good reliable one) then you could always get an impact crimper for about $12.
May 22, 201213 yr Author I have never heard of an impact crimper before. I don't see where for $12 but looks like a cool tool to add to the collection. Anything to look out for when buying one? Some break after 2 uses or is there one that would give a tighter crimp?
May 22, 201213 yr Here's the one I have. It's held up for several years of some severe beating, left in the rain, etc with no issues.CableYard Impact Crimper
