I've been looking around for a good 4 channel amplifier that cost some where around 350 or less that has a small foot print I was hoping to hide it. I have looked at the rockford fosgate pbr 300.4 was wondering if anyone had any experience with these? Or if anyone has had any other amps that are on the smaller side I would like to hear some other options as well. Also I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find some info on the little soundigital 250.2 I tried emailing them and messaging a soundigital rep on the smd website and got no replies. Was thinking of maybe getting 2 of those for running a set of comps. could definitely hide those somewhere.

Are you just running one set of comps?

Yeah I was thinking of running just 1 set comps in the front for now.

Then all you need is a 2 channel.

You don't need to run the speakers and tweeters off separate channels

No you run it to a cross over and the mid and tweeter hook to it. unless you are running active.

No I don't think I'm quite ready to run active yet still got some reading and learning to do. When you run them off a 2 channel each side would split the wattage right? So if the comps I was looking at are rated at 150 rms would that be per speaker or side?

Per side.

Yeah kind of figured. Just trying to find some other car audio fanatics around here. It's good thing for these forums or I'd go nuts up here.adhd.gif

Do you think it would make a big difference if I ran a set of coax in the rear or should I just leave the stock speakers back there off the headunit?

I would just disconnect the rears and just run off the front set.
