So i currently have an aq2200 and i am wanting to get more power. So i was thinking about selling or trading my current amp for either a crescendo bc3500 or an aq3500. But i was thinking maybe i should just buy another aq2200 and strap them. Only thing is i have no clue on how to do this and would not want to mess things up. Is it hard to strap amps and would it be worth to strap them?

What subs do you have? Why do you want more power? What does your electrical system consist of?

I am looking into different subs. more power to get louder. i have singer alt 230amp yellow top at front xp3000 at rear

IMO don't waste your money, unless you are actually competing in SPL.

Difference between 2200w and 3500w is 2db before power compression, so you'll be lucky if the difference is even audible. Chances are very good it won't be.

Buying a 2nd 2200 and strapping them or running one per sub would be a 3db difference before power compression, possible it would be audible depending on circumstances but is it worth $400 plus the cost of wiring, the time installing, etc for something that might be audible (it very well might not be if depending on power compression), and if it is audible isn't a significant audible difference?

If you're trying to get louder, power is the least effective and efficient means of doing so.

so to get louder i should look at subs? i was thinking the xcon 12's

What subs do you have? What box are they in? What is your budget? How much room do you have? Did you do any sound deadening?

If you answer those questions we can give you more specifics, but your box is going to be a very large factor in determining your loudness.

Those xcons would get plenty loud with that aq2200 @ 1 ohm. Using the proper box!

you should learn to build and design your own boxes and do testing on different firing and placement positions.
