Posted November 5, 201212 yr Okay i have a question. how do i wire a sub in parallel and how do i wire a sub in series. and how does it effect it in ohms law. Like if i wire my 4 ohm parallel that puts it at 2 ohms. so thats what the amp output would be at 2ohms. So if i have 2 4ohm woofers and i wire them both parallel that would make it 1ohm correct?
November 5, 201212 yr Author but parallel is plus-plus and minus-minus correct? and how does series get wired?
November 5, 201212 yr Series is one wire to one negative, one wire to the other positive, then wire the remaining positive and negative together.
November 5, 201212 yr Here is a very useful calculator, just select the speaker quantity and voice coil/impedance and hit the wiring option.Of coures learning the theory behind it is prefered !http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp
