I am planning on powering it with a sundown saz3000d,

and wish I knew what model it was in case it needs a recone soon

Any opinions?

Its either a BL or a dual slug BTL, might have it written on the coil if you can see it through one of the holes.

You'll need a BL recone if you order a recone. That's a 1st gen 2 stack BTL though.

Cannot see anything written on the coil. Is there any way that I can measure something to tell for sure?

edit: What is the performance difference between the old btl and the new bl? Also, I see a recone kit on the fi site for a double stacked btl, so why would I need a bl recone?

Same parts..cooling and whatnot is way different in the new BL vs. the old BTL, just 6 years of change in technology, spiders, tinsel leads, cones, surrounds etc.
