We are proud to be able to help a friend, and just a cool individual in need. SSA has a long standing relationship with Shawn Fleming, and would very much love to help him in his quest to get a new prosthtic leg. Shawn has long standing ties with the car audio community and has brought many loud vechicles & products to our community. Which is why, with every purchase of a "Rewards" eligible product in the SSA store, we will dontate 5% of that purchase price to the "Shawn's New Leg Fund" and help our friend to walk soon again.

Click the link below to read his story, and straight donate.

Is there a place where we can just donate? I don't need anything at the moment but would like to send some anyway.

Yup, that is the idea at least, i'll have to bump this thread daily.

ill besure to donate when i get paid,

i heard about the loss of his leg on facebook.. shit sucks.

Glade to donate for a good cause.

Thanks guys, anything helps, I could not imagine the bs he is going through trying to learn how to live without his leg.

I have a good friend that had to have his leg amputated after getting in a motorcycle accident. He ended up getting a carbon fiber prosthetic and he was back to his old self a few months after getting it. At first it is absolutely crazy hard but it does get better, and Shawn seems to have a good attitude about it. Again good luck with everything Shawn, and with your attitude it'll be no time before you are running around again.

Donated what I could too. Trying to save $ for recone and second btln2, and shawn has been pretty good at getting back to me, considering all hes going through.

This is a fantastic start, really awesome to see people reaching out.

Is there a graph showing how the donations are going?popcorn2.gif

When you click the link it says how much, but it hasn't been updated in two days.

should be up the 195 :) I know 25 isn't much for a prosthetic, but it's better than nothing. I can definitely understand what Shawn is going through. Granted my conditions weren't permanent due the amazing Surgeries the VA performed. None the less, Shawn's story story got me a little choked up when I was reading it at work the other day. I hope we can meet the goal needed to make this happen. Sharing on facebook.

With al the members we can do alot better. Please give anything you can for a good cause.adhd.gif

Thanks for the donation guys, Mark is staying on top of the donations. The 5% from rewards qualifying products will really help it grow after black friday.

Very nice thing you guys are doing here. Are there any other sites/people accepting donations as well?

For this purpose, not that I know of.
