December 29, 201212 yr PAC also makes an aftermarket Bluetooth that hooks up to any factory or aftermarket headunit. You could spice the phone to the speaker and mic wires on it and still be able to Bluetooth your phone.
December 31, 201212 yr Author Update: car needs a tune up so I am slowly working on that. Also, while under the hood I noticed the cars wiring harness to be very brittle and is crumbling easy. I ordered a new one and will be replacing that soon. Other than that the car is in great shape mechanically.
December 31, 201212 yr Author Would love to see pix of the wiring harness going in.I'll try to snap a few. Once I get to work I forget the camera.

February 3, 201312 yr Author I have been slacking on the audio side of the Merc. Some quick updates: I did remove the cellular phone and I recently purchased a Pioneer 80prs. I will make sure to get some pictures of the cd player install. It should be an interesting time taking the dash apart!
February 13, 201312 yr Author I finally installed the 80PRS today. The installation went well, the factory radio was very easy to remove and the pioneer slid right in. The harness utilizes the two factory amplifiers so I am able to use the time alignment features. There is a popping noise when I turn the car on/off or switch sources. I believe this will go away once I install an aftermarket amplifier. Also the radio keys for the PRS would not click in right, so removing it is going to be a joy.
February 14, 201312 yr I do have one interior pic that I snapped over the weekend:Anyone need to make a phone call? missing this
February 14, 201312 yr Author Thanks everyone. Amplifer plans have changed. I picked up a JL XD600/6 and XD 600/1 for a great price. The 600/6 will go in soon. Not sure if I will use the 600/1, Deck matches well. Reading the thread while listening to hotel California. Great taste in music Looking good, looks like it was a nice day outside as well. Pictures were taken inside but yes it has been nice here the past few days. Looks good! Any more info on the custom Gcon? I should be recieving it soon. I will take plenty of pictures and post them here.
February 21, 201312 yr Author So I did some more work on the benz today. IB is out of the question, way to much trunk modification needed and the gas tank is behind the back seats. What I came up with is a spare tire enclosure. The spare tire area is huge and I can easily get 1.5 cubic feet out of it. So I am thinking of a 12" ICON or XCON. I will build the enclosure first and then figure out which woofer I am going to use. Deadener is on the way for the trunk.
February 21, 201312 yr Author Amps are here as well. Holy crap I did not realize how small the JL XDs were. The 6 channel is smaller than a piece of paper. It even fits in the emergency kit spot on the rear deck.
February 21, 201312 yr Author That amp is hot..... love that it fits there!!!Yeah they are awesome little amps. It will not be going their permanently. The factory bose system has two amps mounted in the trunk. I am going to utilize the stock mounting locations.
