Posted March 30, 200619 yr Ok so i've been on the search for a tweet, i bought the morel but PE killed my order so i'm debating buying them from madisound. my quesitons? how do these tweets perform? anyone have direct experience with them?http://www.madisound.com/pdf/mdt%2029.pdfThe waterfall plot looks pretty great to me but i'm sure what time is too long, i see the broad hump at 1-2k makes me think they shouldnt' be played that low, but that also shouldn't be a problem. The only thing is i heard that textile domes weren't supposed to have transients that were that good, so maybe the scale is throwing me off?Shoot me any opinions before i go ahead and re-order these bastards
March 31, 200619 yr I hate generalizations. Anyways...those are supposed to be very good tweets. They are essentially a more affordable version of the MDT-33. Back years ago when I first started thinking about going the DIY route, they were one of my top choices and one of the tweeters that were regularly recommended to me. I have not, however, had a chance to play with them. http://forum.elitecaraudio.com/search.php?...daily=&pagenum=^^^ Should help you some

May 3, 200619 yr Author Just a quick update, not a review. Just letting you know my happiness. I got the MDT 29s and am extremely happy with them. Sensitivity is great, power handling allows for volume levels higher than anything you will ever need or want to hear. They dip down low enough to blend with my poly mids fine. once again, not a review, i might do one later, but for now, holy crap if you're considering these, do itttt
May 3, 200619 yr x2...the tweets are sweeeet...blow my imaging out of the water. The mids get a resounding "ehh"
May 3, 200619 yr Author for $35 the mids are still hard to beat, and would be infinitely better if my doors didn't sound like $hit. Thank you dodge
May 4, 200619 yr Author they are in my dash, stock cutouts for 3.5's i'm thinking maybe jim took a pic of them, i could take a pic now but it wouldn't show anything, just the cover.
