I'm using Mozilla Firefox. And it's only on this forum...any other webpage or forum and it works perfectly. But on this forum, anybody with large avatars and sigs (like mrray or Eldorado) causes the page to scroll very slowly (actually freezes up the browser for a few seconds) and the loading is very slow aswell.

Any fix to this? Any settings I need to change in Firefox? Any other firefox users experiencing the same thing?

my old avatar did that, my new one doesnt seem to do that for me now

i used to get that problem when scrolling through Eldo's posts

Funny my machine did that yesterday, but surely normally doesn't. When it was doing it FF was still the fastest though, iE was similar, and Opera was unusable. Normally FF "feels" the fastest.

Use Firefox ... right click on Image ... adblock it. Think you might need to grab an extension for that, though. Worth it in my opinion.

I have avatars turned off and a ton of sig images blocked, and things seem quick.

I'll never use IE again. Ever.

I have sigs turned off on ca.com

For 2 reasons:

large text and pictures

and pictures that arent home friendly

i use opera and have no problems with any sorts of speeds, occasionally i do have a slight problem with it freezing right before i type an address in the address bar, but it fixes itself after a couple secs

Not all of us have only parents/significant others to deal with. There are certain things my children shouldn't be subjected to quite just yet

I dont have any issues with opera, and I use IE at work with no issues.

I have absolutley ZERO problems with FF. Only time I have a problem is when the server is on the fritz. Everything here loads just as quick as any other site. I hated Opera and would use IE over it.
