Ordered 2 of the VVME RD-12 Ebay mystery subs and one of their QA-D1500-H6 (same exact amp as the APSM1500) for $185 shipped.

  • So, that's about where I'm at right now. Everything is ordered, just waiting for it to arrive before I can make anymore progress. Thanks for checkin me out.

  • Nice build man im tuned in to see what you think about low end extension on these! My friend and i are going to build a box for Usaci port wars and throw an american bass 750.1 on em'.

  • I've got a 15" Xcon ported under the console in my ski boat. Just took some clever cutting

I know that people have compared it to the AP but how do you know that it is the same? Either way I'm tuned in for the results.

Setup will consist of:

2 VVME RD-12's w/PSI 12" Gasket

VVME QA-D1500-H6

Diesel Audio NS-1600.2

2 Audiopipe APMB6DC 6" mids

2 Audiopipe ATX3720 Supertweets

4.4^3 @ 30Hz 3/4" MDF Designed and Built by Me

1 Run 1/0 Power

Have 15ft Blue and 5ft Black Audipipe Superflex 4g on the way to wire amps and do the big 3.

Waiting to see how stock electrical holds up before I decide if I'm going to run a rear batt.

This is how. Notice their "Partners" list on the left hand side. Same build house. They have a knock off of the AP15001D on their ebay store as well for $10 more.

I've had these particular AP tweets before and while I agree they are not going to win any SQ competitions, they aren't bad for the money. Was planning on running Crescendo FT-1's, but they are out of stock.

Box Build:

Port was supposed to be 5 1/4 high, but ended up being 5 3/8's when I built it. So here is the adjusted design.

I feel your pain dawg!

I too am waiting for the FT-1's to come back in stock, but also the PWX6's too.

Yes, I was going to run the PWX as well. So I just decide to go with the Audiopipe APMB6DC's and matching tweets. $80 compared to $200 makes my pocket happier...

Word, I am curious as to how these sound. This is like the 3rd time i've seen someone get these subs and they now have me intrigued enough to do a cheap 2 12" build and throw em on a couple thousand watts to see how they hold. I'll probably toss em on Craigslist and get my money back quick too.

8 of em on a BC5500 in a Suburban:

Just got a call from VVME, my subs and amp will ship out today! Mids, tweets, and voltmeter/fuse holder are in route. Believe my AP 4g is shipping today as well. Just waiting to hear from fixmyspeaker about the gaskets. Pickin up 2 rolls of Peel & Seal sometime this week to do the doors with.

  • Author

Aight, changed my mind about the Peel & Seal. 25 Sq Ft fatmat Bulk Pack has been ordered.

  • Author

Oh, and got my tracking number from fixmyspeaker for the 2 gaskets. Hoping to have everything by the end of the week and install this weekend.

Box looks good. Make sure to fill those cracks.

  • Author

Thank you. Yes, I if you are referring to the split by the port, they are being takin care of. There where a few frm the screws bein to close to the edge (even though I was using a pilot bit. I was squirtin some glue in them and clamping them till it dries. Worked pretty damn good, I just happened to miss that one.
