And FWIW, I am so tired of working on Euros it is sickening. I love my new job, I am extremely happy... but fuck these Euros and Hybrid pieces of shit. W123's and W124's with 500k are running all over Frankfurt the last time I was there.  They drive the living snot out of those cars daily and they hold.  My W124 was quite good, my sister's W124 is still going strong.

The track prepped Miata's that are torching me in autocross, I wouldn't dare call them bitch cars.  Serious suspension + great rubber + small turbo = killer track car.

And the sales guy that works for me in Detroit beat me to the punch, just picked up a Noble M12.  Not quite a Rossion, but at $37k for a 4k mi unit I would have bought it as well.

Bitch car or not, amateur hillclimb competitions are starting to gain momentum here and it's a good car for such purposes.

Better as an autocross car. I don't know how much grunt you can extract from one of those, but hill climbing favors power doesn't it?

A nicely built Factory 5 GTM can be found for 40's. it even fits fat guys too

I have wanted a GTM since I first read about it right after they first came out.

My uncle has a gen two with Heffner built LS7 with Greg good heads and cam puttin down about 900 horses. Track prepped weight on the car with him in it is under 2,800 pounds.

The wife works for GTM, but alas, a different GTM.  

I have considered building a factory five car myself. Can be done relatively inexpensive and badass pretty much any route you go.

I've helped on a cobra which wasn't bad at all but the GTM needed a TON of bodywork. Too much of a pain in the ass MHO. But if you like that sorta thing nothing exceptionally hard to build. I think he has about 2,000 man hours in the build. The Cobra was around 500
