I am fortifying mine with a sub, but only because I had a True Fire sitting still collecting dust.

Yeah I wouldn't be using one. How are the TBs on the top end? If you could snap your fingers and add a tweeter to the top end would you?

And the sharpness, from what I have read, is chromatic aberration that can be corrected, less lens flare, and slightly better colors. The actual "sharpness" is so small you will never know.

The rest of the white lenses are not nearly as fast to focus and don't have the phenomenal IS.

Its seriously incredible to me how well is just works.

The f4 was not as fast to focus, and IS feels lethargic. As in the gyro or whatever takes time to spool up. I feel this on the Tamron. I would still rather have it than not.

The non IS 2.8 might be the sharpest, and you could use faster speeds for sure. If it's all well lit like daytime, you should be ok. But you are one cup of coffee away from enough shake to make it a poor choice to hand hold.

Ha, caffeine doesn't really affect me.

You don't notice the shake. But the camera will at the long end of 200mm.

I didn't believe it until I started shooting pistols regularly. Your natural pulse causes shake.

It's pretty logic, but amusing, how close shooting a gun and a camera are.

One overcast day, or one indoor game, and you will be PISSED.

Not like buying a Cadillac instead of the chilli pepper. Cannot supercharge the lens, unless you take all that money you saved and buy a FF body.

:-)

Want the reach of the crop and the 70d is really pretty amazing.l

You make my point even better. 2.8 IS mki is your lens. Go forth and purchase.

:D

I want to make desk speakers too, but I am so terrible at making time for those projects.... It's sad really.

No, if they needed a tweeter they'd have one. Sound better than any bookshelves I've ever heard.

If you aren't ON AXIS though you'll need a tweeter and then the whole design is flawed.

I have a 270mm. Familiar. It has IS, but it is only 5.6 at the long end.

Doh.gif just spent $4k on brakes smile.png

2 months of my new meds!

I shall now value everything in the cost of medication. LoL

Not sure if I've mentioned this but after about 15 years I quit smoking back on Feb 10th.

My employer charges a $50 per pay period surcharge on our health insurance for tobacco users. I didn't realize this before, but apparently the only way to get this surcharge off your insurance when you quit is to use a bullshit "QuitPower" program/help line.

So here I am 90+ days after I quit on the phone with some douche talking about basically nothing. That was a gigantic waste of 15 minutes. And unfortunately they require a minimum of 2 calls.
