The "smoke" setting was pretty nice. It basically pulse in the pellets in intervals to keep smoke going. The temp stayed between 170-190 mostly. You can change up the pulsing to make less heat if need be. The PID loop doesn't seem to keep as tightly as I'd like when setting a temperature. However, if you are a lazy cook, I think you can make some respectable meat on it. My only issue with it is it sucks for anything requiring high heat (Burger, steaks, etc) since you can't get direct heat. The pellet cookers are nice. I might be getting one for myself for quick cooking.
June 27, 20169 yr I talked my brother in to getting a green mountain pellet cooker and he loves it. They are similar to the Treager cookers.
June 27, 20169 yr 3 weeks since I ordered the windscreen, it still hasn't left the UK. If it doesn't rain I'm picking up the Miata today

I was leg pressing >750 for 6-10 by 14. Squatting 500 for 6 when I was 16. I was a real fat kid, so my legs were strong. Deadlifts are my arch nemesis. Long torso, shorter arms for my size and a belly made scooping up a bar from the floor a nightmare. 2-3 inches lift from a standard 45 pound plate and I could lift 40% more weight.
