June 18, 201411 yr Everyone should live in Paris. This shit is amazing. Food at the market is sublime, people are nice, if I speak s little broken French they will go out of their way to help... And it's beautiful. At least the few miles I covered.Couldn't agree more. I think France gets a bad rap, my experience is that the Parisians are the least nice of the French but still way nicer than what you get in Rome.
June 18, 201411 yr Yeah, everyone should go live in the snow. From April - Oct even the summer is nicer in MN than here. Lack of water can blow me.

But there is a huge difference between SD and Orange County. I lived in Lake Forest for about 8 years, worked in Irvine, and spent many (nearly every weekend) from Laguna to Newport beach...occasionally getting up to Huntington.
June 18, 201411 yr Last person I know who went to France commented the people were nice once you got out of Paris. They are really nice here.I feel a bit of a tourist, as so far I haven't been far from this wonderful little community. But extremely welcome.Today might be the last day I cook in the apartment though. I'm sad as the ingredients are truly sublime. Its absurdly good.Excited to venture out and eat though. Going to the louvre, Versailles, and I think a boat tour the next few days.Saw Eiffel, but I think I will walk up there in the evening.
