My XP-G torch took a dump. Any recommendations on bang for the buck LED flash lights?

Something with the 4Sevens name would be my first guess.

I'm grumpy that I can't find my Streamlight Strion light.  I could have swore I had it on me when we went to KC to visit some folks over the weekend, but sure can't find it anywhere.

I've used Streamlight Stingers pretty intensively, they are extremely rugged and last just about forever.

Curious why $100 lights over the $10...or $30.

I am not opposed, but just had a $40 light fail which makes me lean towards a couple $10 ones or if one is "indestructible" I will pay. I don't displace things often if they are quality so that is a bonus IMO.

Because I seem to have better luck with the 100$ lights.  My other main light is a Surefire, shattered the bezel when it fell off a machine somewhere at work, sent it in and a week later I had it back at my door all fixed up with a new battery in it for no cost other than shipping.  I bought it back in November of '11 and that is the only issue I've had with it.

I've been carrying the Streamlight Strion on my belt for 18 months now and haven't had a single issue with it, best part is its rechargeable from a cradle I've got mounted on the wall in my office.  I've seen a couple of local PD's carry the Strion as well.

Last cheap light I bought was a  ~40$? JetBeam.  It died after 2 months of carrying it, had a warranty not that I could get a hold of anyone to fix the thing.

Love the big brakes! What size rims did you go with? A before pic would be sweet.

And a drop

Front Left (drivers) was 35 9/16” now 33 5/8”

Front Right was 35 5/8” now 33 ½”

Rear Left was 37 5/8” now 35 ¼”

Rear Right was 37 ¾” now 35 5/8”

If need be could I get a member of the MN mafia to go inspect a trailer for me?

Found a guy selling a decent wrestling ring and flatbed for 3500 and the ring alone is 5000 new, and needless to say they don't depreciate that much. So its either a great value, or shot to shit.

Ha, where is it at?

The Mustangs Moog steering parts arrived AND are made in the USA. I am not usually that picky with replacement parts, BUT should of shipped the others back when I seen made in Taiwan on the box.

I'm not sure how you stick to the road with those bicycle tires!

Without overhang nothing more than a 285 will fit without rubbing in the front and 305 in the rear. As soon as I decide and wheels I'll be upping to 305's in the rear. Probably some 420s smile.png

Does look good, but I need to see a before again. Really seems like that's how an escsalade should sit from the factory.

More pics later, but it's a start. I agree it is how it should sit. Actually maybe 1/2" higher in the front and 1/2" lower in the rear, but it is close.

I did but it failed. Was looking at the Convoy's there but that led me to comparison shop to Amazon and found the $10 knockoffs. Meaning same "bulb" can be a $7 flashlight all the way up to a $200. WTF? How do you choose?

I bought the P Tourch 700 lumins when you had said about them and one of the thrower 950 lumin. They are still working fine. If you find something cheaper post it up.

Those are the cheap options...

Those are the stock 22's atm. Not sure I want to compromise the ride quality and go to 24's and I can't find 23's in stock anywhere atm.

Really worth 8x as much?

I am more interested in reliability than output, but need some output. I use the light as a headlight for my bike and for spotting shallow water markers on the lake.

The 22's look proportionate in my opinion. The new ride stance gives a nice prowling effect.

My daughter would steal any nice flashlight I bought so no help there. I was going to look at the brand on the one's I have but are not where I store them. As I said daughter steals them. :)

My wheel choices are down to the Cragar's or the Torque Thrusts. As they are both only offered in one back spacing that will most likely be the deciding factor.

Love the 4sevens that includes the capability to charge via USB. Having no battery and a few beers late at night on the boat makes that nice. Hate to have a dead batt. Last a long time, but when you need it...

The TT's have definitely grown on me. They are only offered in 3.75" BS and the Cragars are only offered in 4.5" BS.

I purchased 5 4sevens lights for family 4 years ago. Every one still has theirs and they all still work great.

Again I recommend the upgrade light system. I think they called it "tactical" or something.

I got the AA style. When we kick it next, I will bring it with so you can fondle it and see what you think about the quality.
