Went in and applied for a welding job at a place that makes long low-boy trailers had me make an I-beam with gussets on a piece of quarter inch mild steel mig welded with tri-gas. Co2, oxygen and aargon. My 1st time welding mig with tri-gas... it came out ok.... then a t-joint welded with 11018 electrode, one pass on one side and three on the other. Boss told me I passed both, and said my mig was fine and my stick welds were good, and better than most peoples.... we'll see.there suppose to call me in a couple days and let me know. If they hire me, Fuck You Burger King lol!

WTH Stephen.

Interviewing is great even if you don't get it. The practice is good for you.

I hope you get it though.

Peng, I have watched that "fallen" video about WW2 more than 2 time.

That's like 1.5 more times than I watch anything.

Thanks for sharing that.

What do you WTH Stephen?

I saw a Polaris slingshot on the road. What a weird and almost sexy vehicle.

I've seen a few down here. I want to drive one and see how they handle.

Sean, why do you like closed cans? I would have expected you, as what I think of as more of a purist, to prefer open backed cand.

I am fixing to sleep over your house for a few months..Is that cool?

Sure. But I have been sober for the past few months, so no alcohol allowed.

FWIW, after doing even more research I am going with the HD600s unless you can give me a really significant reason to close them up. I found a few reviews that said the HD650 had more depth and a more vibrant top end, but that it seemed colored compared to a more natural, flatter HD600. With the effort I put into finding a tube setup that fit the bill for me, and the fact that I am rolling tubes, I think I really want to hear what the amp has to offer, not what Senn has decided to color my sound with in the search to acquire the all to common Beats user.

Congrats on the sobriety brother!

I am a bass player.  Low e on an upright is magnificent in closed cans.

I listen to basically no vocals.  Just guitar and bass.  It sways my likes A LOT.

I also ran a sound board for 4 years and the noise reduction/isolation from the environment is now what I expect in a can or any headphone for that matter.

So perhaps not for the right reasons, lol.  At this point I listen to my full range speakers more than anything.  Almost like wearing open back headphones but without wearing anything.  I have a rather quiet space for an office though.

I think they're better than the Mustang, aside from the interior.

Drove a base SS, a loaded SS and a 5.0 GT ....all convertibles.

The Mustang's exhaust was WAY, WAY louder and better sounding.  Too loud actually.  Much louder than my truck which is nuts since the headers and pussy removal REALLY woke it up.  On the other hand the rest of the NVH response of the Mustang made it feel like a Lexus instead of a Ford.  SUPER impressive.  The Camaro was a Camaro of old.  Truck like, bouncy, noisy.

The loaded SS was a stick the other two Auto's.  Mustang auto is way more refined than the 6l80.  Either way, I'd get the stick for SURE.

I am real excited to hear the flatplane in person.  That may sway me to be stupid.

What?  Nice work.  All okay?

The cheap ass in me wants to say look for a used set of 580's then.

Nothing wrong with the 6's.  I am a big Senn fan.  Just sold 300 of their mics this week ;)  I do have a problem with all three though, but it is all pinna related.  I can wear them for about 15 minutes and my outer ears hurt.
