I'm looking for a saz2500 and was wondering how to tell the difference between the two? Are there any major differences in them? Thanks guys.

1) The amps are all narrower. Size reduction was a major goal for us.

2) All of the mono amps above the SAZ-1200D have fans mounted on the board that blow through. This is significantly better than a fan stuck to the bottom panel as it draws air through from the bottom side to the top and pushes it out the opposite side vent holes in the side panels -- it creates a flow over all of the internal components and the internal side of the top of the case. Less heat = longer life and less chance of shut-down in the hot summer months.

3) We changed around many of the internal components to different types and brands to optimize reliability based on observations from the last few years prior of making amps. Some previous suppliers were slipping a bit on parts quality so we stopped using their parts and found new, more reliable parts.

4) In most cases you'll see a small increase in power output from older models. Nothing major, of course, as we didn't change the part # or charge any more for the amps.

5) All of the amps use metal POTs now rather than plastic. Some folks would get a bit rough on the plastic ones and break them.

6) Most models also climbed a bit in efficiency based on the new parts selections. Again, nothing super crazy but an improvement none-the-less.

7) We changed our build house so all of the new models are made alongside the NS-1 at this time.

Old version - logo in the middle, lettering on both sides.

New version - logo on the left, lettering on the right, all on the center piece.

Ohh I just realized the v.2s were released earlier this year. I thought it was the v.3 that was the new one.

V.2 were released last year. They dont have external fuses like the V.1.or it might have been 2011.

Really? For the v.2 pre sale thread Jacob said in feb they were shipping out.

I thought there was a v.3 so now that I know the v.2 is the newest I don't mind getting a v.1 then.

The version 3 just came out. Thats for the 1500d.

No V.2 just came out for the saz 2500d. I dont like it as much as the first because it has a cooling fan. Just one more thing to go wrong.

Gotcha I thought u were saying the v.3 just came out for the 2500. That is the model Ive been looking for.

I personally dont like amps with cooling fans.

Why do you want to go sundown?

I have 2 ssa zcons and the weight of them is really sagging my car with the big box. I'm going to with 2 sundown X 12s when they come out. I just sold one of the bc2ks I have. I'm going to sell the other once I get the sundown amp. I want the 2500 amp with the subs since they're of the same brand lol I want to sell my c1100.4 and buy one of the sundown 2 or 4 channel amps too.

Not sure yet. I want to buy the saz2500 before I sell the it.
