Posted April 7, 200619 yr Well I decided to enter a double point USACi...So I entered in the Stock 0-300. So I go through on my first pass and pull a 139.6 on a sweep, I peaked at 40hz. On my second pass I pulled off a 141.0 off of! Not bad for 2 sealed Rl-ps 1200 watts. ended up taking 3rd place. But the guys that beat me were using cadence cheater amps and 2 15s in large ported enclosures...But anyways here were the results from my class1st-141.72nd-141.53rd-141.0 (me)4th and down were like 138 and lowerbut a local competitor (matt sibley) gave me some tips and hopefully Ill get some decent sized gains out of them...next comp im shooting for 142. Anyways thanks Mike For making a Great Sub. Edited April 7, 200619 yr by chevyaudio
April 9, 200619 yr Porting will make numbers go higher.like. totally. 3 dbs maybe even 4<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Or 6-9dB near tuning of course this is assumeing you have a high(er) tuning so you burp near to it.
April 18, 200619 yr Author Sorry for not replying guys...been out of town. But anyways CANT go ported This is all in a single cab truck behind the seat, no room for a box. and yes they are 12s.
April 18, 200619 yr well porting one and giving it the same amount of power as you have going to the pair (i know, you'll need a different VC config) should give you higher numbers in certain frequencies, even in a musical box, not just a fartbox
April 18, 200619 yr well porting one and giving it the same amount of power as you have going to the pair (i know, you'll need a different VC config) should give you higher numbers in certain frequencies, even in a musical box, not just a fartboxx2. but only if proper airspace can be achieved.in a standard cab silverado, a pair of ported tens is usually the way to go. but since you already have the 12's and mike isn't makeing rl-p 10's....... i'm a chevy guy, but this is where dodge boys own us. we've actually put a pair of 15's sealed behind the seat of a standard cab dodge. if only we had that room...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
April 19, 200619 yr yep, i was able to snag over 2cuft net ported with over 20sqi ofp ort area tuned into the low 30's in a ram singel cab....and you stll ad fully functional seats and there sill be space betwen the seat and the box.
April 20, 200619 yr Author my box is 1.6 cubes net per driver...so 3.2 total net or roughly 3.4 total no room for me
