This is a custom Infinite Baffle GCON from SSA.

I do not really need to sell it but things have changed and I want to sell it to someone who will actually use it.

It is brand new and only taken out of the box for pictures.

D2 voice coils.

I have two available

$200 shipped each

Specs would help attract a serious buyer

I agree, with all the confusion that was going on a Fi the last few months, I never really got anymore information other that it is designed for IB use.

Any sub can be used IB. I wonder if this is just a stock sub that you were told is ok to use IB (even though they all can be, some with MUCH better results than others).

Yes, I understand any woofer can be used in an infinite baffle alignment. With talking with Aaron and Scott, this woofer does have custom one off parts to make it better for IB use.

Read his first post it is a custom built IB gcon.

Scott built this sub himself, specifically modified for IB.

NOOO I just ordered some IB subs. I ALMOST pm'ed Aaron to ask if they could build something, I feel stupid. GLWS Sean I'm going to see if I can take this off of your hands.

It's REALLY big.

I wish we had moved already or I knew the layout of the new house. Would be all over it if I was sure I had a place for it. With 2 kids I'm in Sport Ute hell atm.

Buy it anyways Sean, you could find a use for it ;)

* This data was exported from DATS the Dayton Audio Test System
*
* Manufacturer: Sound Solutions Audio
* Model:  GCON infinite baffle d2
* Piston Diameter = 317.5 mm
* f(s)= 36.34 Hz
* R(e)= 2.90 Ohms
* Z(max)= 20.03 Ohms
* Q(ms)= 6.543
* Q(es)= 1.109
* Q(ts)= 0.948
* V(as)= 116.000 liters     (4.096 cubic feet)
* L(e)= 3.21 mH
* n(0)= 0.48 %
* SPL= 88.90 1W/1m
* M(ms)= 145.60 grams
* C(ms)= 0.13 mm/N

Could be a silly question, but is the rms rating still the same as a normal GCON?

thermal rating is probably the same but you would need to model it to see how low you can play it before it would bottom out.
