August 1, 201312 yr Author What do you think the best way to get this to stay up is? The bass broke the clip off of where the clip gos. So cant just buy a new clip for it. Tryed using this sticky back Velcro I had but there isn't really a flat enough surface for it to stick good so keeps peeling off.
August 1, 201312 yr yea, i dont think velcro would work on that period.. It's no surface area on the A pillar itself is the problem.
August 1, 201312 yr Author Superglue the plastic back on that the clip attaches too. What kind would be best you think? I got some ca glue. Amazing goop. And some kind of 10 second apoxy stuff... or something different?
August 1, 201312 yr I don't know the application use for any of those definite, but find and rule these out- Make sure your adhesive works within the temperate ranges your car will see. I tried using Loctite 2 part epoxy one time in the car and stuff kept popping off.. Found out it was only rated for 120F. Make sure the adhesive can withstand 180F minimum (gorilla glue epoxy is rated for this and works fine)Make sure the adhesive adheres to plastic and\or metal. As far as i know, all 2 part epoxy resin\hardener does as it doesn't rely 100% on the material it's bonding to but the viscosity of the adhesion itself helps keep things in contact. Make sure the Pot life and Total cure time can be accomplished as well. That should be it.
