That car had some potential for real. But oh well GM is dropping it, one of the better products they sell and they dont even make it. Nice car, love your amp too.

It isn't being totally dropped. It will be absent for one model year then come back on the Zeta platform. You have to remember Holden, who builds the car, has had this model for 8 years now and is ready to do a revision and swith to the Zeta platform. That is why GM of america won't have the GTO for one year. The Camaro will also come back at the same time on the Zeta platform as well.

I was kinda scared to click this link.... if you watched waiting.... you know what i mean

Really nice scenery in the first pix and the car looks real fresh. For some reason I actually like the gauge cluster a lot too.

Saw one driving the other day.

Had a wicked exhaust note, didnt look aftermarket at all though

it's so veiny

and yea the gauge cluster is uber sexy but i can't pinpoint what i like about it

the guage cluster is a damn near match for an escalades, as far as look/color w lights off goes. not layout.

we did a nice install on an 2004 goat, blue. he's got a ram air hood (fuctional), k&n cold air kit, custom exhaust and was waiting to buy the programmer at the time. i'm sure by now that's been resolved. it does indeed have a wicked exhaust note.

when installing a system in a goat, due to the gas tank, instead of putting you sub in trunk, try just under the b pillar. there is a shit ton of room there once you remove the factory speaker. you can even keep it under the plastic and use mdf. we did. jim's goat has got a mc1300 (big belle) powering two pairs of memphis sq componets and a pair of mclass 8's in those quarters. you don't even know the 8's are there, until he turns it on...lol...

nice car btw. sorry for the rant.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

yes, i dont think they dropped a z06 motor into them. LS2 :)

i saw a video on streetfire with an LS1 version supercharged with over 500whp... it was fun.

Nice ride!

That the LS6?  THe LS1 powered GTOs were SLOW.

Slow? 13.3 quarter and 5.2 0-60 is hardly slow. May not be a Z06 but it'll plant your ass in the seat.

GTOs didnt get the LS6, that is the old Z06 motor. the new goats and base vettes get the LS2. the new Z06 has the LS7

My bad, LS2. Anyways, 13.3 in the quarter? Really? I've raced a few in my Cobra and blown them away. Slow in my book as my car isn't very fast atall, nor is it quick by any means.

i thought there was going to be a picture of your balls (i.e. the movie Waiting) I figured I had a 50/50 chance of seeing a car or balls.

LOL Cobra not fast? LAWL. Maybe you just have very high goals.

Stock 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 4.5(0-60) 12.9(1/4) (so, yes it should beat an 04 goat)

How pucking quick do you want a stock vehicle for less than $35k to be? Next to a car modded to the hilt doing sub 3 in 0-60 and sub 10 second 1/4 sure its slow, but in stock trim thats respectable.

That may pertain to me if I had an 03 or 04 Cobra, but it's nothing more than a stock 98 with a super stiff suspension and an untouched engine.

Then there is no reason you should be beating 04 GTOs. If it's street racing traffic light starts you refer too, then to me those don't count. Only time slips on tracks are what matter. Every driver in major publications and at tracks are getting the o4 GTO faster than your 08 cobra. I'd say whoever you are beating doesn't know what they are doing. I still wouldn't call your cobra slow though. It still has very respectable numbers. A few mods would make it smokin.

It is slow. It will never be quick/fast enough. I know all about modding it. Runs 13.50s BTW with no weight transfer on Nitto DRs.

why would time slips from tracks matter? Not starting a flame war but you beat someone side by side then you've beaten them, circumstances will always be different and no two tracks are the same, nor are two days the same for track conditions. To me being able to beat someone on the street matters far more, especially in a curve.

btw i do not approve of street racing

If 13.5 isn't quick then you are a hard one too please :P Not too mention you're going to need a good chunk of change to ever be fast enough. After driving many a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder econoboxes I am quite happy with the amount of puch my Goat has.
