Ok I have an 06 Scion xB.  Not much room in the back for a box.  I currently have a Sundown Audio Nightshade v1 and a Sundown Audio 1500v1.  I would like to change systems and hopefully get a little louder.  I will be going with top of line equipment.  IE Digital Designs, Sundown, or PSI.  What is everyone's opinion on what I should go with?

what size sub?

what is your electrical like?

are you trying to replace sub and amp or one or the other?

I have a 12" Nightshade.  And I would like to just change out the sub, not the amp.

dss ethos. Fi-q, soundqubed HDC3 and 4, sundown X and zv4, Fi BL, Any of the SSA woofers

10's or 12s. depending on your woofer choice. (different woofers want more or less airspace)

model them against your current woofer and box. otherwise you're just fucking around wasting money. figure out if you can fit a 15 or a pair of 12s.

I come up with 4.4 cubes net. I would do two dss ethos 12". Best option imo

We have a 2011 Xb that has seen the likes of a single HDC412 (2,000RMS), to a wall of HDC315's (1.500RMS). There is more than enough room to run any of our woofers, though it's up to you to decide how much space you are willing to give up!

That would be 4.42 gross before sub/port/bracing/walls... Not a ton of room.

But still a workable amount. How much airspace do the DSS ethos 12's need? I know Q has it posted in his thread on them. Should definitely check them out.

1.5 net per sub. Could be squeezed down to 1.25
