Well I had a chance to get a sub I have long dreamed of buying at a price I couldn't refuse. It still made my bank account cry for mercy but as some of you know I'll do almost anything for audio :)

Without further ado, her is my brand-shiny-new Aura NS15 :D

Here it is with the IdMax.... kinda makes it look dainty :crap:

Top view.... note different approaches to the same 24-25mm of xmax.

This thing has a 4" voicecoil... and I guess that means it needs a 3.5" pole vent?

Last we have the model sticker and one of the binding posts.... interesting design.

Now I need to choose; car or HT?! :runlaugh:

not alot of linear displacement capeablitity for such a large motor structure...im gonna have to look into why this sub is good? im not a big fan of Aura

$685!!!

Aura is not concerned about sheer output. You also have to think, this driver was designed many years ago. How many pro-sound drivers do you see with huge motor structures and little linear displacement?? In fact, the motor structure is not large at all, rather they incorporate the design into the entire basket.

What he said :)

In the days before "super woofers"...and still sounds better than a lot of them ;)

and your back to your days of being an ASS. :fing34:

linear displacement isnt everything, whoopty flip. I know 0 to nothing about this driver. Just looked at a few short specs and made a simple statement.

I just found that sub the other night at madisound. What a beast! But so is the price

Why everything gotta be about color? :D

I'd never seen it in white, only the black versions...and yes, it's an awesome driver. The 18" version looks like a UFO.

And nG...I agree...derka durrrr

:worthless:

Well keep the ignorant assumptions to yourself. ;) Especially when you just admitted that you know nothing about it. :finger::fryingpan:

So, next time... just

I just can't help but love the industrial design of that sub. Beautiful.

Of all the replies I've had yours is by FAR the most offensive! :finger:

The dustcap looks more uniform in person than it does in photos :)
