im wanting to get the best output out of my zcon before I build a box. im going to be running it on a bc3500 @ 1 ohm. the electrical will be good. using a singer 250 and 6 yellowtops. what my question is should I go with a bigger box around 3.5-4 cubes or a slightly smaller one because of of the power around 2.5-3 cubes. both tuned in the low 30's? any input/help would be greatly appreciated

What size is the sub?

lol damnit left that part out. its a 12. gonna be in the trunk of a cavalier

yeah, go between 3 and 3.5 and aim for 14-16cuin of port area per cuft

With that power and that you are focused on output, it means you're probably going to be pushing that amp hard.  So I would lean you towards the smaller range of the enclosure volume size.

thanks for the advice guys. appreciate it.

With this in mind would 2.75 net ft^3 be a good starting point, with 45in^2 of port area?
