Posted August 10, 201411 yr Pulled one sub out to use it to test some amplifiers and one of the terminals read 6.2ohms.. So, measured the lead, 1.56ohms. Measured right under the heatshrink where it goes to the terminal, still 1.56ohms.So, i started pushing up and down on the terminal spring and it dropped to 3.0ohms.Did it some more, 2.1ohms.Did it some more, 1.7ohms.Will not go any lower than that. What could be causing this?It will be a while before i have time to test the rest but i may have to tie the main supply wire to the terminal and to the lead after cutting off heat shrink to ensure i get lowest impedance possible.
August 10, 201411 yr Author I was mainly just curious as to what the problem would be.I'll tell you what, i'll pull them all out soon this week and inspect them all so i don't have to keep bugging you if there is more than 1 terminal doing it.
August 10, 201411 yr Had this issue with a broken connection before. Well not really broken, but I just undid the solder, undid the push terminal, sprayed some contact cleaner and resolder ed and it fixed the issue.
