Hey there,
I would like some help with dimensions for a box for my SP4 18 subwoofer. The SP4 18 will be powered by a crescendo 3500D.

I only have very limited space inside my trunk, but I want a ported box in every case and I want it tuned to 34 Hz.
The maximum dimensions are:
Width: 86 centimeters
Depth: 47 centimeters
Height: 65cm (I want to stay at max of 60 centimeters if possible)

greetings

You'll have to do forward firing to make that work if that is in a sedan.

Why couldn't he do rear firing with an aero port?

The size of the enclosure will be to big to allow adequate air flow around the box and into the cabin.

What car is this going in?

What car is this going in?

My car is a VW Polo 86C

If the SP4 would face up there would be the most space in front of it(with 65cm Height).

Faced up, you have only 47cm for a 46cm sub. It's tight. Can you go bigger ?

In a Polo VW you want sub and port up for an 18" sub. Port in the back would be very close to the hatch.

Good luck fitting such a big box in that small car. With back seats out, it would be easier, with sub up and port rear firing.

Show us some pics if you can, please.

I made some pictures now:

I would definitely try to go sub up and port up considering the layout of the vehicle.

On another note, why do you want to tune so high? going for SPL or SQ?

How much Depth i will need for the sub and port face up? I will try if it will fit in my car then.(I can't use 65cm Height if the Depth is too high)

I want to hear music with it as loud as possible with a decent SQ. Is 34Hz a bad idea for that?

Hello,
would it help to remove the backrests of the backseats?
Then the depth could be increased (I will measure how much exactly again) and it would also be possible that the port is facing front
