Alright guys so this is my first "big" system. I have 2 soundqubed hdc3 15 d2's in a 10 ish cu ft box tuned to 32 hz. I have 2 soundqubed q1-2200 amps. I plan on strapping them. My mids and highs I got on lock so they're not important. I have a 180 amp ho alt by singer alternators. This is the absolute biggest he could make it. 1 xs d5100r under the hood and 2 xs xp3000's in the back. Nothing is installed yet I'm waiting for all my install accessories. Do you think I have enough batteries and is my alternator sufficient enough to handle 500 amps of max current? I'm waiting on my xs charger to come in to install everything because I need to fully charge my batteries.

Also. I plan on strapping these amps at 2 ohms to get 4400 rms. The only problem is that both of the amps don't fit on the back of my sub box since the port is so big. So I was planning on putting one amp on the side of the box and one on the back. I can't put one on each side because I don't have enough room. So that means that the power wire to one of my amps is going to be about 5' long and so will the ground wire. The other amp's power wire is going to be about 2' long and the ground wire will be too. Will this cause a problem?

Thanks guys.

The ground doesnt need to be nomore than 18" shorter would be better!

Thats a good bit of power for that alt..gonna need a good battery bank

use some threded rod or something along the lines to stack the amps some how to keep wire length to a minimum!!

That's a good idea about stacking the amps. I'm sure I can find some threaded rod at home Depot or Lowe's right? Also I'm gonna take some pics later of some new potential grounding spots to see what you think.
