I have a sundown x10 d4 in a 2.0ft^3 box tuned to 31 hertz. I have been searching for an amp to run this sub for the past 2 months and can't come up with anything on a budget. My budget is about 400$ and I would like to put 1500 rms on the sub at 2 ohms. I have a second alternator to just power my system it's just your average 150 amp with a run of 1/0 sky high to a xs power 975. Anyone have any suggestions for an amp?

I know some will knock it, but it should do what you're looking for.

Or for a little over $400

Do you know if the hifonics can at least do 1400-1500 of clean power?

Don't get so hung up on the numbers.  There's really no audible difference between the 1,100wrms @ 2 ohms of the SQ Q1-2200 and the 1400-1500 watts you're hoping to get from the Hifonics.  More power is the LEAST efficient way to increase output.

As Tirefryr mentioned, there's got to be plenty of amps that will do the power you need for the budget you've set, however, you might be able to find something really great to run it with USED for that price or less.

That makes sense and that's the main problem is there's so many haha. I was thinking of trying to find used too
