I am doing the big 3 and i was wondering where the posotive post would be on my stock alternator? I have a 2010 malibu. Should be to the right if your looking at the alt from the back by the 2 male prong...If not on that model you should be able to run a lead from the stator if all else fails,,,not real familiar with that model
November 9, 201410 yr Find the positive charging stud on the alternator and hook wire to it. If there is just a plug in clip like most stock alternators then bypass that step of the big 3.

If there is just a plug in clip like most stock alternators then bypass that step of the big 3.You can run a lead from the stator with alt just with a plug...You may have to drill a hole in the housing but it's possible
