December 28, 201410 yr So In my opinion!! Products underrated could handle the thermal overload of double the voltage due to clipping aka "Square waves" to the coils with no effect!! because the are UNDERRATED! And the overrated products that most people purchase that don't know shit about car audio purchase will fail due to clipping from thermal damage...point blank so in my opinion this "will not damage your woofer if under powered is false info" Michael

Amps don't blow woofers, people do. Don't look at one part of the equation and forget the rest. Also, stop derailing threads. Either post on topic or DON'T post. Incessant nonsense is not tolerated on this forum. And yes, the post I am responding to is on topic but the other ones you've posted afterwards are far from.
December 29, 201410 yr 95Honda and ///M5 have been big brains on this site since before I joined here, it'd serve you well to at least consider the advice before getting upset about how it's worded. Being wrong or learning something works differently than you thought can be frustrating but in the end, we're all here to learn right? And I won't lie, you seem to have a touch of ADD lol. Just take it easy man.

December 31, 201410 yr It seams confusing because it isn't a simple question... If you can take anything from these threads it is that you need to model to see what will be louder with your current setup, period. You will either have to figure out how to do that or get someone to do it for you. Until that happens, you really won't be able to get a better answer. Part of DIY is having to work these problems out. This is where you save money. If you can't get the help you need or have the time to learn new skills you will have to pay for a brick-and-motor shop to do it for you. I wish there was an easier way to do it, but there isn't. So honestly, until you you get this ^^ done, you aren't going to make any progress... So you would not agree to any of this "for example" due to clipping....lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PF32APSjrk/// wtf? You post a damn video? Just say what you want, I am not watching 3min of garbage to explain something to you. its the argument that a heavily clipped signal causes the sub to stop moving at points in time, which causes less heat to be dissipated by pole vents.
