March 8, 201510 yr What is really the trick for kerf mdf thumpper...I been playing around with a couple scraps and for some reason every time I make my cuts 1/16 across I try to bend it and snaps (its starts to bend a little bit before it snaps)...I tryed the 1" in between, 1/2" in between...I really dont know what im doing wrong...I looked at several youtube vids and allIm using a circular saw...(im trying to do a 90% turn with a piece that 11" x 11" Thanks...

March 8, 201510 yr Author some of that glossy surfaced MDF does not like to bend , it can drive a guy NUTS untill you figure it out....LOL
March 9, 201510 yr Author What's the reasoning behind drilling the holes in the kerf slots? that is one of my inventions , capillary attraction draws the resin in the slots and the air bubbles come out the holes

So do you use polyester or epoxy resin for doing to kerfed bends then? I've been using polyurethane glue for mine, but I'm not sure whether I really like it for that application or not. BTW, thanks for posting all the pictures. You have definitely been an inspiration to me.

March 10, 201510 yr Author A little test fit in the Magum before I finish the cosmetics......... I had to remove the interior pannels and the rubber molding around the hatch opening to slide it in .... perfect fit it's pretty much a wall , the back window is history ........... the wife gave me that look a few minutes ago.....LOL
