June 8, 200619 yr nice we've started looking for the special little metal piece you wanted and found some good options.
June 8, 200619 yr biggest i can find is like 3.25" diameter if memory serves, it seems a little small though. Also i won't be able to come over on sunday, bad family news and i gotta go home for the weekend.

June 11, 200619 yr Author I am thinking a small ported enclosure(for added output with the top down) tuned to about 34Hz and have a false floor for the amps and distro block.
June 11, 200619 yr Just port it and mount the amp to the enclosure.False floors are more trouble than they are worthIf he wants light, use some birch ply. Much lighter than MDF

I have to say I am very curious to hear the Dayton 10, great looking sub and very well built.

June 19, 200619 yr Admin I had alittle talk with the new owner----and the old one too..... how did that go?
June 23, 200619 yr well one of my buddys is wanting a good cheap and lightweight SQ set-up in his Z3-----so here is what I have in mind-----thanks goes to Partsexpress.comhttp://img450.imageshack.us/my.php?image=s40100150rq.jpghttp://img119.imageshack.us/my.php?image=s40100169po.jpghttp://img119.imageshack.us/my.php?image=s40100179jc.jpg<{POST_SNAPBACK}>We made the subwoofers for the Z3 if you got the upgraded stereo system. It was sold through sunfire, but we designed the mini sub. It was pretty bad ass. A little 5.25" active woofer with 2 passive radiators. The box was very tiny and made some pretty good bass for its size.
June 24, 200619 yr fitting that dayton in there proved to be a bit of a hassle, 8's or 6.5s would have been soooo much easier
