They are strappable. They have four cores in power supply like AX 3000 DE but they are smaller. CEA rated 4 ohm / 500 watts. 1 ohm / 2000 watts, however it will put out a few hundred watts more. It has a 120 volt swing and can be burped way below 1 ohm. First production to be done in the US, mid July. At that point we will have a white sheet for it.

the guts on the MD3 are aweful nice...its funny seeing 4 cores lined up the way they are on that amp

So whats the lowest they can be strapped daily to?And then Burped to?

not really... think about it, the diff between the CEA rating of the MD1 (1050w) and the md2 (1500w) and the md2 to the md3 (2kw) is the same thing.

jr, if you read this reply, is it because of a standard heatsink or OEM board?

anyway the internals looks monsterous!! would love to try it heads up against my orion

It's is due to the amplifier needing surface area to cool efficiently and for faster assembly. Unlike the XT and AX which have bulk of aluminum on each side for transistor mounting the MD uses top surface area for transistor mounting.
