August 2, 200619 yr Admin still doesnt fill the dang heat sinkI was just thinking that, not sure whyjr, if you read this reply, is it because of a standard heatsink or OEM board? anyway the internals looks monsterous!! would love to try it heads up against my orionIt's is due to the amplifier needing surface area to cool efficiently and for faster assembly. Unlike the XT and AX which have bulk of aluminum on each side for transistor mounting the MD uses top surface area for transistor mounting.
August 16, 200619 yr Author If the amp isnt rated or .5ohms they wont have .5ohm numbers<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Greg was gonna put it on and test it at .5 wanted to know if any .6 numbers were out yet.....guess Ill call
August 19, 200619 yr Ive only heard about US amps i dont now how much any of dem cost so r they expensive, i really want to now the $

August 25, 200619 yr Greg told me they do not like .5 ohms (actual load). But with a .5 load (like a dual 1 ohm sub), they are ok with impedance rise. So just plan on rolling the volume vs. burping them if you are going to run them that low.Brian
