Walked out to my truck this afternoon (about 20 minutes ago) to find everything missing except my CD player. ill get pics and more info as soon as the cops leave. this happened right infront of my house beetween 6am and 6pm today.

so the cops just left and they dusted for prints...they got some really good ones of the hatch itself and apparently the thieves used a swiss army knife to cut my wires...how do I know you ask....they broke it cutting through my 4ga power and ground and left the broken handle piece in the truck...some really good fingerprints were retrieved from that as well. they also got good prints off the distrobution block caps that they broke trying to free the wires. here are a few pics for tonight.....it was dark and my batteries were dying I will get more tomorrow after the progressive claims person comes out.

Its a good idea to screw/bolt down your enclosure in a SUV.

I had it out a few days ago to move some personal stuff and forgot to bolt it back down.

the subs were crewed in with torx screws and the amprack was bolted to the box with torx screws.

depending on what the insurance company says I may be jumping on that US Amps +SS deal sooner than I expected. but I will be jumping on an alarm with six million piezos hidden on the inside before i do anything else.

Wonder if it was someone who knew you. Progressive isn't that great. You should have an alarm before a system. I'm guessing the truck was just unlocked?

we had an installed jacked recently here...audiobahn too! but they tore our install up getting the flame subs and rack amp out...sucks for the kid. good news is they have located everything (subs are thrashed) and are prosecuting the thieves....

I think them leaving the knife they used to cut the wires in the back will lead to a swift aprehension.

insurance comes tomorrow and I found my original receipt from the purchase so hopefully everything works out.

you can get them here in the screwdriver kits with lots of replaceable tips

i've heard they're the best for furniture building so that'd make sense with the lumber industry up there

I've got a bunch, they are actually more popular here than Torx. Mostly in the construction trade though as they are mostly put on deck screws and such. I have at least 5 of everyone of the bits. When I laid down subfloor they are what I used. Of course, I am almost in Canada.

Insurance company came this morning, he took some pics and told me that I should have the check tomorrow or saturday. still havent heard from any detectives, but after speaking with the nosier of my neighbors i found out that I was one of five cars that had things stolen.
