I had to alter my port. I was going to use a port that was 20x6", now I am using 22x5.5", it fits better. I am also using 1/2" MDF for the port, not 3/4" plywood like the rest of the enclosure.

I am almost ready for fiberglass and paint. I have to finish the port and modify the center brace.

This is the most time consuming enclosure that I have built. I hope it exceeds my expectations as well!

Wild as hell man! Can't wait for more pics & a video!

Can't wait to see how you bring it all together. I can't picture how your gonna connect that front baffle to the box inside the trunk. Or are you gonna fiberglass it out of the car and slide it in? It looks to big for that but it's hard to tell from the picks.

The front baffle will be fiberglass to the sides/top/bottom of the enclosure. I did it this way to maximize the enclosure volume. This enclosure is big, 10 cubes gross, 7.25 net, 120 inches of port area, tuned to 33hz.

Yes but how? Can you remove the box or can you actually fiberglass it in place. I'm gonna assume since the port is built into the back dash, you are gonna fiber glass it in place. You must be phenomenal with fiberglass, I can't imagine how hard it's gonna be to attach that front baffle to the box. You definitely look like you know your stuff on the boxes. Good luck.

The front baffle will be 'glassed inside the trunk. The only way to remove the enclosure will be to cut it out. I am certainly not a master at fiberglass but I fucked it up enough times to know what not to do :)

I learned a long time ago through many failures that patience gets what I want. For me a rushed job is a shitty job :(

Not audio related, I install a new cat back exhaust on my car. I bought a exhaust that would not be annoying. It is slightly louder than stock under full throttle and has a deep tone, not your typical Honda fart can sound. On the highway while cruising it is silent, only during acceleration do you hear it.

Full SS, tig welded.

Yea I don't like those fart cannons either. I like a nice low rumble that's not over powering.

I decided to remove the carpet on the trunk. The type of carpet that I used was very difficult to clean. I also ran 4 runs of 1/0 wire to the trunk. You can see the wire on the left side of the picture.

I carpeted the external section of the port. I was not able to take a good picture of it.

Have you had a chance to listen to the Fi Mids yet?

I have yet to hear a real review yet.

I have not had them playing yet. I had them since December. I want to install my alternator and battery, make steel bracing for the enclosure first. Maybe after that I'll make to mounting rings for the mids.

very cool looking build...tuned in for sure.
