So this happened, I'm new this, still learning, but is there any way to fix this or do i just have to completely buy a new 12? What caused this just so i know because i don't want it to happen again.

Too much current or too much resistance via a poor connection.  Meter the coil.  As long as it reads good, you should be issue free.

I see these shyt at work from time to time, poor or loose connection coupled with vibration.
