Posted March 12, 200718 yr Everyone else is doing one so I figured I would too. I am only going to show pictures up to right before the final install, since I am re-doing that Wednesday. Had to raise it up on 2x4s to make clearence for the batteries.Running the 0 gauge, I actually managed to fit 3 runs of it down one side of the car Everything just about wired up Carpeting the FloorMore pics coming Wednesday Night!BTW: Some pics of the doors being deadned:At the beginning:All deadned:
March 12, 200718 yr How do you like the Eclipse CD 5000, and the Rainbow front stage.Liking it so far, what size alt do you have?
March 12, 200718 yr Looks great my man! Are you using all of that 75 feet of wiring, plus the other 35 feet!?! That a LOT of wiring...crazy how you managed to fit it all through there. Post some more pictures when you have completed up the install!
March 13, 200718 yr Author I love the Cd5000 and the Germaniums, very loud and strong midbass. As of now I have a stock alt, but on full tilt the sundowns where all seeing 13.x at idle!! And yea I was surpised I got it all in there too, I just took my time (took me a few hours), 4 runs of the 0/1. I think it helps ALOT.
March 16, 200718 yr Author Some pics of the box build....should be done by Sat night at latest...BTW this is a very complicated box, the port is lifted 3" (doing a false floor) to clear the amps but the subs get that extra 3" for airspace.Specs are 4.8 cubes after displacement @ 32hz. March 16, 200718 yr VERY nice equipment and install. Only thing I'd suggest is using some sheetmetal and filling in the big hole in each door and deadening that also.
March 16, 200718 yr Author Yea I plan on doing that eventually, didn't really have the time to do it when I was doing the doors.
March 16, 200718 yr Admin Nice amps and subs, can you repost a copy of this in the build log section ??
March 23, 200718 yr Author Box all done...First attempt it wouldn't fit, so we had to build a new false floor that was thinner and shorter.Got it in thoughAny bigger and it wouldn't of fit!Making a template for the false wallFalse wall in, one of the cuts got messed up so we are making a new one tommorow.
March 23, 200718 yr Thats a nice quality install man, I cant wait to see it done. That box looks pretty ballin'Wes
March 23, 200718 yr This is a really nice build log 727, and the results look promising. Great photos as well. I dont envy you with having to run all that 0 gauge wire. I had a question, did you just double up the connection up front at the alternator to hook them all up? Install looks great and I bet its loud in the Lac.
March 23, 200718 yr Author Both runs are connected to the battery. BTW, try adding a few more runs and see how well it helps, as of right now I don't even need an alternator really .
