If I wire 2 subs down each dual d1 coils down to 2 ohms meaning each sub is wired down to 2 ohms does the amp bridge that internally to 1 ohm..

the simple answer is yes, if you wire them both to 2 ohms, and hook them up to the amp, it will see a 1 ohm load.

wire the coils in series parallel (down to .5 ohms per sub) and than wire the subs in parallel series to get a final impedance of 1 ohm

Fixed, again... You might want to get those straight audio-neon, you could really f**k someone's system up if they listened to you and wired something down in parallel when you mean series.

That one, shows my infinite noobishness , at least in this case if he had followed my directions he would have wired up instead of down...:dammit:

:thanx: for the correct.

Thanks for the help I kind of knew I had it right I just wanted to double checked to make sure I didn't have any erros because I was prepping for a comp and if you turn to high lets jus say it could have been trouble somewhere especially on the electrical I have.

what is the difference if wiring each sub to 0.5 or to 2 ohm ?

does it matter in some way ? after you connect them both we still get 1 ohm this way or the other , right?

I always wire in series/parallel in this case. So therefore, each subs voice coils in series, and then each sub in parallel to the amp.

I am a little lost about the D1 ohm wiring myself. I want to get two of them, but my box has 2 separate chambers. I can't wire the subs together, so do I just wire each one to a 2 ohm load? + to - and +/- to the amp on each side?
