Right now i have a Q15 and its hittin 143.3 and its in a 5 cuft box tuned to 40 htz and its just not loud enough for me in my jeep grand cherokee. I want to buy something new i will have 2 Digital Audio DAD1504's which put out 1500 watts at 1 ohm and im not sure on what to buy cause my area for my box would be

19" in height

28" in depth

35" in width

so if anyone has any ideas for 2 subs running 1500 a piece or 1 running 3000 daily im up for ideas i also thought about 2 fully loaded BL's running 1500 daily or one 15 fully loaded BTL running 3000 daily

please respond with your opinion on each cause im lookin to hit around 148/150

Well.. with single wall 3/4" MDF you are right at 9cuft. Id probably pick up another Q15 to match. With a 4" X 33.5" port 14" long itll net you a 7.5 cuft box tuned to 40 Hz. While the current 5cuft box peaks at 45, this one will peak at 48. Youll have a decent gain over the current setup, even though the current sizing per sub is more efficient (about a dB of difference with (1) sub in 3.75 at 40 or (1) in 5 at 40).

Least expensive route to go and probably the best...

so your sayin my box is doin better or worse than a 3.75 enclosure and would that raise me close to 148 db

A single Q15 in 5 cuft tuned to 40 Hz will do better than a single Q15 in 3.75 cuft tuned to 40 Hz with the same power. It will have about 1 dB more of a peak. But with double the power and 2 Q15s in 3.75 cuft each (7.5 cuft common chamber) you will see solid gain overall. Will it push you to a 148? It could, but its hard to say exactly what it will do. Theoretically its a 6dB gain... but it usually doenst pan out that way. Not too mention you will be about 1dB down in general due to the smaller enclosure... so 5 dB at absolute best... probably closer to 4.

I think it would be cool to do the BTL I really want to hear one of those. But if money is tight I would do what Scott said, thats my ultimate plan, add another Q and get a t3000.

If you could put 3kwatts on 1 18" btl and give it 7+cubes that'd be nice too, imo. From doubling power and getting twice the subs I only gained about 1.5dbs peak (42hz) but I gained 3.5dbs at 34hz. I'm just trying to get it deep though, but you can see it really didn't give me the 4-5db gain I was looking for, although it was a nice boost overall (on music).

Just me, I like 1 beefy sub and with going from a 15 to an 18 you should see a gain (going from 810cm Sd to 1210cm Sd, so about 1/2 again as big), plus doubling the power- that's my thoughts, but i'm biased
