Posted April 15, 200718 yr Throwing around the idea of 'glassing an 8" midbass, and some 5.25CDT's in a door pod.Is the rli a good option?
April 15, 200718 yr sounds like a very nice idea. and use it not only for mid-bass but also sub-bass.only downside is that it's not small and not light. there aren't many doors that can handle this bugger
April 16, 200718 yr like m5 said, i doubt the door will like it, and thats gonna be hell fitting the RL-i depth
April 16, 200718 yr If by tweets you mean a 2-3" full range driver you might be able to pull it off, but your door won't support the Rli8. Really.
April 16, 200718 yr not a good idea. they are a true subwoofer. maybe you can pull it off to a degree, but i doubt they'll shine.and like previously mentioned, at 19pds each, they aren't lightweights. your doors will hate you, lol.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
April 17, 200718 yr Author With these? http://woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction...Product_ID=5352Will the rli'8 play flat to 1000hz? 500?
April 17, 200718 yr No, as noted these are not midbass drivers, they are subwoofers and are designed to hit the low lows! I would recommend crossing over no higher than 120 Hz, and in my personal opinion, 80 Hz 'n down for optimal performance.
April 21, 200718 yr This reminds me of the r-tard on ca.com that actually DID this.Glassed one on his tranny hump. Same kid who glassed spherical pods ON his dash with components in it. .nG
